Damien Langlois-Meurinne defines himself as a “creator of Haute Couture furniture and spaces”. Today, he is one of France’s leading designers and interior architects. His work was published in several prestigious international magazines.
FOR ME, THE INTERVENTION OF THE CRAFTSMAN'S HAND IS DECISIVE.
After starting his career in Christian Liaigre’s office, where he became familiar with the rigor of proportions, the associations of
noble materials, he implemented many exceptional projects (yachts, houses in Notting Hill and Megève, boutiques in NY, a private Island in Polynesia, contemporary Parisian apartments spanning 400m2, an upscale spa in China...).
His style is based on sobriety, purity, a timeless elegance, emblematic
of contemporary French Chic. In his projects, he always seeks out streamlined spaces in order to magnify and enhance the beauty of volumes. Amongst his key-words, he likes to talk about “balance”, “rigor combined with lightness”, “a passion for detail and exceptional venues”, as well
as “a certain poetry.”
He sets forth his quest for perfection in order to satisfy a prestigious and exacting international clientele. And to meet their demands, he selects and showcases the creation of the greatest designers as well as renown worldwide brands, signing his culture of French excellence.
He has also designed furniture collections for Zimmer + Rohde, Sé London and Pouenat.
His style is characterized by timeless lines, a mix of sophistication and simplicity. He confirms with passion the importance conveyed by the quality of the objects surrounding us and their emotional dimension. Damien favours using natural materials such as bronze, lacquer, marble, as well as massive and precious woods, that have been crafted in collaboration with the finest master artisans.
